Ways to Cook Brussel Sprouts

  • Roasted: I find the best way to eat brussel sprouts is by roasting them. This allows them to cook fully, while also adding flavor through some char.
  • Air-Fried: I am a chronic air fryer and air frying brussels is delicious. With a bit of oil and seasoning, these get nice and crispy.
  • Pan-Fried: This could take a while to cook and require quite a bit of oil. Pan frying them could also cause them to go a bit mushy, if overcooked.
  • Raw: Don’t think you’re eating whole balls of brussel sprouts, shaving these down with a mandolin and adding to a salad. This will add a a great crunch to your salad and add some great fiber.

How to make Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts?

  • Sauce: The most important part in the flavor of this sauce! It is just soy sauce, chili garlic paste, fresh garlic and hoisin. You have the soy sauce for the saltiness, chili garlic for the spice, garlic for depth and hoisin for sweetness. It is the perfect balance.
  • Peanuts: I love adding chopped roasted peanuts, this adds a great crunch to the dish.
  • Dried Chilis: These are optional, but add a but of extra spice to the the brussel sprouts.
  • Scallions: My FAVE herb, adds freshness to the brussels!
